If battery life is what you care about most, this one is worth watching. Vivo has confirmed that the Vivo V80 will launch in India on October 6, 2026, and the company has already shared most of the phone’s key specs ahead of the event.
You get a 7,200mAh battery, which vivo says is the largest ever in its V series. Now, let’s put that into context: the company claims up to 39.5 hours of offline video playback and up to 14 hours of continuous navigation. Charging is handled by 90W FlashCharge, which vivo says takes the phone to 50% in about 30 minutes.
The front has a 6.59-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, meaning the screen updates up to 144 times per second for smoother scrolling. Vivo says it reaches 5,000 nits of peak brightness, so it should be easy to read in strong sunlight.
The cameras are co-branded with Zeiss, and the phone can record 4K video at 60fps, along with a new 4K Cinematic video mode.

Vivo has not named the processor yet. Leaks point to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, but that is still unconfirmed. Some reports also say the phone will carry IP68 and IP69 water and dust resistance, which vivo is expected to confirm at launch.
Pricing will be announced at the October 6 event. Tipsters expect the V80 to cost around Rs 60,000 in India, which would put it in the premium midrange segment.
In a nutshell, vivo sells its V series phones in Nigeria, so there’s a good chance the V80 comes here too, but the company hasn’t announced a Nigerian launch date or local price yet.
