When you speak slim phones, TECNO is now part of the conversation. The company has launched the CAMON Slim 5G, a phone that’s just 6.39mm thick but still carries a 6,000mAh battery. TECNO unveiled it at an event in Hong Kong in early September, and it’s now rolling out country by country, starting with the Philippines on October 1.
The new phone is a 5G version of the regular CAMON Slim, which launched in June. TECNO says it has an art-inspired design, with colors including Burgundy Red, Matisse Black, Van Gogh Blue, Rebel Pink and a multicolored Neo Mondrian finish.

- Thickness: 6.39mm
- Display: 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with 1.5K resolution (sharper than Full HD) and a 144Hz refresh rate, so scrolling looks very smooth
- Chip: MediaTek Dimensity 7300e 5G
- Memory: 8GB RAM, plus 16GB of “extended” RAM borrowed from storage; 128GB or 256GB storage
- Battery: 6,000mAh with 45W fast charging
- Rear cameras: 50MP Sony LYTIA 700C main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS, which reduces blur from shaky hands), plus an 8MP ultra-wide
- Front camera: 32MP
- Software: HiOS 16, based on Android 16
- Durability: IP68, IP69 and IP69K dust and water resistance, plus MIL-STD-810 drop testing
On top of that, TECNO is promising five years of security updates and three major Android upgrades, which is longer software support than budget phones usually get.
TECNO has not announced a global price. The company says prices and release dates will be set by each local market.
For Nigerian buyers, this one stands out for fitting a big battery into a very thin body, since most thin phones give up battery life to get there. Please note that TECNO hasn’t confirmed a Nigerian launch date or naira price yet. CAMON phones usually reach Nigeria, so a local announcement is likely, but trust me, wait for official pricing and be careful of listings that jump ahead of it.
