Apple has officially revealed the iPhone Air, and this one is all about sleekness. If you’ve ever wanted an iPhone that feels feather-light in your hands without losing performance, this is the model to watch.
Ultra-Slim & Lightweight
The iPhone Air is just 5.6 mm thin and weighs only 165 g — making it the thinnest iPhone Apple has ever made. Despite the slim profile, Apple built it with a grade-5 titanium frame and Ceramic Shield 2, giving it both durability and style.
Display That Pops
You’re getting a 6.5-inch Super Retina XDR display with ProMotion (120 Hz) and Always-On mode. Brightness goes all the way up to 3,000 nits, so even on a sunny day, the screen stays clear and sharp.
Power Under the Hood
The Air isn’t just about looks — it’s powered by the new A19 Pro chip. Paired with Apple’s C1X modem and N1 networking chip, you get the latest Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and Thread support. Apple has also dropped the physical SIM tray here, going eSIM only to keep things slim.
Cameras
On the back, there’s a 48MP Dual-Fusion camera system, while the front gets an 18MP selfie camera with Center Stage. It may not match the Pro lineup’s versatility, but it delivers solid everyday photos, video calls, and content creation.
Battery & Accessories
Even with the slim size, Apple claims 27 hours of video playback. For heavy users, there’s an optional $99 MagSafe battery pack that extends usage to 40 hours.
Apple also announced some fresh accessories:
-
A translucent protective case
-
A bumper-style case
-
A crossbody strap for easy carry
Price & Release Date
The iPhone Air starts at $999 Thats around ₦1,518,480 for the 256 GB model. Pre-orders open on September 12, and it officially launches on September 19, 2025.
